Image Lebanese Day at Greenacres Our Hatfield home Greenacres loves to take their residents to far-flung places with their “Armchair Travel” days. This month they took them to Lebanon, with Kitchen Manager Jay preparing a Lebanese banquet and with activities providing an experience of the customs and culture of the country. Image Afternoon Tea and reminiscence Might be a nice day for a spot of afternoon tea… At Greenacres in Hatfield, they combined this delicious treat with a bit of reminiscence, playing 1920s music and serving treats with tea served in a lovely tea set. The residents of Buttercup Lounge had a wonderful time! Image Mocktails at Greenacres Kitchen Manager Jay at Greenacres in Hatfield has been busy creating a culinary centrepiece to celebrate #FallsAwarenessMonth. The residents have also pitched in to make mocktails as well as helping with the hydration information display, great work! Image Tai Chi at Greenacres How about something relaxing for a Sunday morning? Greenacres in Hatfield had a Tai Chi session, also known as Shadowboxing. As part of #FallsAwarenessMonth it can help to improve balance, stability and flexibility. Image International Day of Yoga Today is the #InternationalDayOfYoga with this year’s theme being “Yoga for well-being”. Greenacres, our home in Hatfield, celebrated the day by joining a live online Yoga class, great for body and mind. Image Garden art Making the most of the good weather, the residents at Greenacres in Hatfield took to the great outdoors to get inspiration for their paintings. Using cotton buds as brushes, they painted the trees in the garden. Fabulous artwork! Image Aquarium day at Greenacres Greenacres in Hatfield recently had an “Aquarium Day” at the home – they had decorated with fish crafts they had made in the week, then they attended the San Diego Aquarium live stream where they got to explore the sea and see a range of sea creatures.
