Jubilee Court and Heath House were delighted that a few of their residents had their Silver Wishes granted! They all enjoyed a trip to The West End to see Kinky Boots at The Adelphi Theatre; this was donated by a member of the public that donated 6 tickets to the Silver Wishes.

Ladies from a local Knitter Natter Group have been busy knitting, making blankets, bed socks and twiddle muffs for residents at Jubilee Court! Activity Coordinator Carol took residents Iris and Frances to one of their meetings for a chat with the ladies and to collect the kind donation.

Jubilee Court’s mini-bus fund has gotten off to a fantastic start with a generous donation from the Co-op thanks to employees Geraldine and Bobby running an Easter raffle from their store at The Oval in Stevenage.

When a family member told Jubilee Court that they could put on a show for the residents, they had no idea just how good they would be! Smalltown entertainment sang a range of songs from the 50s and 60s which quickly had the residents up and dancing in the aisles!

Flower arranging continues to be a popular monthly event at Jubilee Court in 2018 with more and more residents coming along and getting creative! The morning’s session was finished off with a ‘Name the Flower’ game using the home’s new big screen TV!

On Saturday 14th October, two of Jubilee Court's staff members were privileged to be invited to The Pride of Stevenage Awards Reception held by The Mayoress of Stevenage.

On Thursday 27th July 2017, Jubilee Court were privileged to be able to help resident Alfred Sturgess and his wife Irene celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary with an invite for high-tea at the award winning ‘Brewery Tea Rooms’ in Walkern.

As part of National Care Home Open Day, Jubilee Court opened its doors to raise money for The Alzheimer’s Society by taking part in their Cupcake Morning. Over forty residents came down to sample the goodies with family members and friends, raising £30 for The Alzheimer’s Society!
