Local celebrity Kim Wilde joins us for 9th annual Quantum Care Awards!

On Friday evening we were delighted to have Kim Wilde join us for our 9th annual Quantum Care Awards ceremony. This gala event takes places every year to celebrate some of the amazing achievements of our staff right across the organisation. The evening began with a champagne reception before guests were invited to take their seats for a 3 course meal. The awards ceremony then commenced with a special performance from the organisation’s very own choir – the Quantum Quavers! Following this the evening’s host, Sam Cheekoory, Quantum Care’s Director of Operations invited Kim to join him on the stage to present the awards. The theme of the evening was Singing Your Praises, so we were delighted to have Kim Wilde present the awards to the night’s winners. The evening included a number of moving tributes to a host of dedicated and committed carers from across our Homes, including a very special Lifetime Achievement Award for Ann Whall of Fourfields, and two Long Services Awards – one for Pamela Roberts who has worked in care for over 40 years, and the other for Tessie Wade who has completed 35 years’ service in care, and was joined by her Emmerdale star daughter, Fiona Wade on the night. Maria Ball, Chief Executive of Quantum Care said “The Care Awards is an opportunity for us to give each of our finalists the recognition and congratulations they deserve for the outstanding contributions they have made, which make a real and positive difference to the lives of our residents.
