Zachary Ekpe, our activities worker at Mayfair Lodge care home, has received a Civic Award from Hertsmere Borough Council for the work he has done to benefit residents of the borough. This award will be presented to him in April at the Hertsmere civic dinner and awards ceremony.

On Friday 3rd November, Zachary Ekpe from Mayfair Lodge Care Home in Potters Bar was announced as the winner of the Care Home Activity Coordinator Award at the East of England Division of the Great British Care Awards.

It’s been a hot summer and as so many of us gaze across our gardens, and those of our neighbours, we see yellow lawns, wilting plants and cats that are constantly seeking the shade.

Mayfair Lodge in Potters Bar enjoyed a visit from some carollers outside their units (their very own Mayfair Lodge Fundraising Friends) and some gifts delivered by Santa himself!

Christmas is fast approaching, and all the homes are having fun decorating all their lounges ready for the festive season. Mayfair Lodge in Potters Bar had Zach and Katie decorating with a little bit of help from the residents – looking very sparkly!

Here we have a lovely cheese and wine evening that our lovely residents at Mayfair Lodge in Potters Bar enjoyed on Monday! The group sampled several wines, and the cheese selection included Gorgonzola, Brie, and Red Leicester.
