We are seeking to recruit a Maintenance Coordinator to help keeping one of our Homes in working order.
You will be responsible for:
- Providing a range of day-to-day general basic building repairs to enhance the fabric of the Care Home Specific responsibilities
- Undertaking a range of basic day to day repairs and maintenance tasks including minor decoration to ensure the Care Home provides a safe and homely environment for the residents. In doing so, the post holder must ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of those who may be affected by the work undertaken including residents, their relatives and staff.
- Examples include: Painting Decorating minor repairs Changing light bulbs Hanging pictures Repairing or replacing door furniture repair Putting up shelves and TV brackets Changing stained or damaged ceiling tiles
- Undertaking routine inspections of the Home reporting issues to the Housekeeper Manager that would benefit from care and maintenance
- Cleaning outdoor areas such as footpaths, waste or parking areas including snow and ice control
- Helping to move furniture such as tables, hospital beds etc Any other duties, depending on skills or competency, to enable the efficient running of the Home, as requested by the Home Manager or Housekeeping Manager
We are looking for someone who has experience of working in a Care environment and has a good knowledge of basic maintenance and repairs.
