For #DementiaActionWeek, residents at Pinewood Lodge in South Oxhey made some lovely pictures with the Dementia Friends forget-me-not flower on – great work!

At Dukeminster Court in Dunstable, they are looking to raise funds to buy a Magic Table for their residents - this is an interactive table that allows residents to engage in cognitive, physical, sensory and social activities.

Doll Therapy can be a powerful reminiscence experience for resident - they enjoy the experience of caring for a doll or soft toy animal, and often brings back memories of caring for others in their earlier life.

Bit of a physical exercise as #MondayMotivation – Vesta Lodge in St Albans got a fun new target game for the residents to play, it is trickier than it looks! They had a lot of fun trying to score some points.

Eileen at Jubilee Court in Stevenage got a new rollator. She has loved the new found freedom, maybe a bit too much even, as she has been issued a speeding ticket and learner plates from carers Lauren and Michelle!

This week is Dementia Action Week! Belmont View in Hoddesdon did a cake sale, with Kitchen Manager Rupert donating a gateau and Care Team Manager Carla donating the doughnuts and cupcakes. They raised £57.97 for Dementia UK – well done team!

Greenacres in Hatfield recently had an “Aquarium Day” at the home – they had decorated with fish crafts they had made in the week, then they attended the San Diego Aquarium live stream where they got to explore the sea and see a range of sea creatures.
