Today is National Read A Book Day, so here we have Jim from Garden City Court getting lost in a good book! What will you be reading today?  #NationalReadABookDay

Staff and residents at Richard Cox House in Royston have been hard at work creating their beach area in the home.  Everyone has pitched in to bring the beach feel to their garden, well done everyone, it looks fab! 

Jessie at Greenacres in Hatfield has been enjoying a bit of flower arranging this week, courtesy of Jonathon who used to be an Activity Care Worker at the home.  It is lovely that he keeps a connection with the home and residents.  

Today is the rescheduled #NationalFishAndChipDay or #Fryday as it might also be known! Will you be having a fish supper tonight? Our residents love having good old fish and chips, here's a picture from "Fourfields Chippy" when our Cheshunt home celebrated the original date.

Earlier this week it was #WorldLetterWritingDay, so residents at Willow Court in Harpenden enjoyed writing postcards and birthday cards to friends and loved ones and posting them in the home post box. 

Here’s a bit of the Notting Hill Carnival celebrations from another home, Belmont View in Hoddesdon.  They reused the magnificent masks they made last year and had a giggle taking some pictures, followed by themed colouring and a quiz.

Lancaster Lounge residents at Anson Court in Welwyn Garden City enjoyed making some origami.  Activity Care Worker Sarah taught them to make some very neat looking boxes, great work! 

Last week Fosse House in St Albans had a lot to celebrate with their new minibus, but they also had a very special birthday – Lily celebrated her 100^th birthday!   We wish you a very happy birthday Lily and hope you had a wonderful day!
