We love a good pampering in our homes, and our residents even want to join in to make our carers feel special!  Anne at Providence Court in Baldock picked out a bright blue for her nails, and after Dee had finished painting them she returned the favour, looking good ladies!  

We encourage residents to continue doing the things they love to do when they come to live with us, as demonstrated at Belmont View in Hoddesdon recently when Olga wanted to cook a spot of lunch!  Olga and Activity Care Worker Carla made traditional Portuguese dish Arroz De Pato (Duck Rice)

They are a talented bunch at Jubilee Court in Stevenage – this week they have been demonstrating their skill at flower arranging.  Lovely to bring a splash of colour to the lounges, they have done a wonderful job.  #FridayFlowers

Residents at Elizabeth House in Welwyn Garden City enjoyed some relaxing crafts this week: pictured here are Shirley and Thelma enjoying some aqua painting, using the water to reveal the colourful pictures. 

Residents at Garden City Court in Letchworth Garden City decided to do a bit of crafting in the form of jewellery making.  They made some lovely pieces that they will surely love to wear, great work ladies! 

It was World Elephant Day last Wednesday, so Greenacres in Hatfield decided to make some fab elephant emoji decorations and learned a few fun facts about Elephants!  Did you know an elephant’s trunk has more than 40,000 muscles, more than all the muscles in the human body?

How about this for a #WednesdayWorkout – Peggy from Trefoil House in Luton has invented a new game called “Hit and Miss”! They have some balls with tails which you throw randomly to each other whilst calling the person’s name. This game gives them a mind and body workout! 

We like to invest in our staff, and they reward us by continuing to be part of our team year after year.  Q Club Day Care Co-ordinator Tracey has been with us 20 years at our Royston home Richard Cox House.  Thank you for all your hard work Tracey!  

International Elvis Presley Day was on Sunday, so Willow Court in Harpenden honoured the King with a bit of a party in Buttercup Lounge.  They had some fun props, a sing-along with some of his hits on the karaoke and, of course, some dancing!
