Rock painting has been a very popular pastime this year, especially in our homes. Mountbatten Lodge in Hemel Hempstead enjoyed this artistic endeavour alongside a cup of tea - they will really add some character to their garden!

Last week, Bill and Allan at Mayfair Lodge in Potters Bar played lawn croquet and seemed to really enjoy themselves, keeping score and becoming quite competitive in a very jovial manner. They enjoyed being out in the garden.

Joan from Tye Green Lodge in Harlow enjoyed a special social distanced garden visit this week to celebrate her 89th birthday. Staff decorated the outside area for the arrival of Joan’s four daughters. She received beautiful flowers and a delicious cake!  Happy Birthday Joan 

Music can be so beneficial for those living with dementia, musical memories can last a lifetime. At Belmont View in Hoddesdon, thanks to lovely donations, Activity Care Worker Carla has put together a fabulous music area for the residents to enjoy! 

Reading Club residents at Willow Court in Harpenden are thrilled with their newly decorated library room and they especially love the new cuckoo clock. Staff created this comfortable homely area where residents can choose a book to read in a peaceful setting. What a lovely idea!

The residents at Richard Cox House in Royston love to muck in when there’s an exciting project on the go.  They have decided to make a beach-themed area of the garden, so Tracey, John, Smugger, Jean and Freda have been painting a large decoration ready for the area - can’t wait to see it all

Wanting to create something long-lasting that everyone can contribute to, Courtland Lodge in Watford have started work on creating a rock snake this week.

Staff at Beane River View in Hertford like to keep the residents sweet, very easy to do with their sweet trolley!  Carer Jane went around all the units with their well-stocked trolley, everyone really loved picking their favourite treats to munch.  

At Fourfields in Cheshunt, Activity Care Workers Leanne and Jackie have been hard at work redecorating one of the lobbies.  Their garden theme looks charming and we’re sure the residents will love it!
