I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream for Ice Cream!  Residents at Elizabeth House in Welwyn Garden City had a lovely visit from an ice cream van yesterday, a very welcome treat in this heat, phew! 

Friday was International Beer Day!  Willow Court in Harpenden decided to celebrate the day with some cold beers – very welcome in this hot weather!  

Last winter we ran a competition for the homes to compete on the biggest uptake on staff flu vaccinations as part of our Flu Fighters campaign.

Another of our homes has taken up the torch and had their own mini Olympics – Meresworth in Rickmansworth have done some sporty activities to introduce a bit of healthy competition into the home.  The residents look very proud of their medals, well done to all the competitors!  

Today is “Book Lovers Day”, so here we have George from Garden City Court in Letchworth Garden City getting lost in a good book!  #BookLoversDay

Mayfair Lodge in Potter’s Bar recently held their own Race Day at the home, with residents placing their own bets with print money.  They really enjoyed cheering on their horses and getting into the spirit of the day, as well as having a few drinks and snacks to go with it.  

Residents at Elmhurst in Bishop's Stortford like to make the most of the nice weather by enjoying a nice cold drink in the shade of their garden. 

Today is going to be a scorcher, so make sure to top up your sunscreen and keep hydrated!  Courtland Lodge in Watford are on it, Activity Care Worker Amanda likes to come round on hot days with a trolley full of ice lollies to keep the residents cool and refreshed. 

For #GoodCareMonth, Belmont View in Hoddesdon held a competition between their 6 lounges to see who could be the most creative in promoting the Rhythm of Life values (Care, Relationships, Choice, Individuality, Engagement).
