What’s for breakfast?  At Tye Green Lodge in Harlow, the order of the day at their breakfast club…. pancakes!  Yummy!

Today is National Chocolate Chip Cookie Day!  Willow Court in Harpenden decided to mark the occasion with a bit of cookie decorating, with a choice of chocolate orange, honeycomb, white chocolate, double chop chip or oat and honey cookies.

Our residents miss having pet therapy visits so some of the staff have been bringing their dogs in from home. Greenacres had a visit from a Black Russian Terrier thanks to Kat the Housekeeping Manager, he is called “Moon” and I’m sure he made the residents moon-eyed with wonder!

Are you doing a bit of #WeekendBaking today?  Meresworth in Rickmansworth made some lovely jam tarts this week, residents enjoyed rolling and cutting the dough and filling with their favourite jam flavours.. and then eating the fruits of their labour!  

Maintaining hydration and nutritional intake is really important for the elderly, especially in warmer weather.
