It’s cocktail hour at Willow Court in Harpenden as the residents enjoy a tipple in the shade of their gazebo.  It’s important to stay hydrated in the warmer weather, so our homes like to make drinks as appealing as possible, mission accomplished – these look delicious!

Happy Independence Day!  The 4th of July is the anniversary of the Declaration of Independence of the United States, usually celebrated with fireworks, barbecues and parades over in the USA - that’s dinner sorted for today! #hotdog

It was National Sunglasses Day on Saturday, which gave Fosse House in St Albans a good excuse to get out the crafting materials! Activity Care Worker Inara helped the residents spruce up their sunglasses, looking snazzy!

Rae lives at Garden City Court in Letchworth Garden City and she had a very specially anniversary to celebrate recently, her 60th Wedding Anniversary with husband Gordon!  Sadly, he was unable to be with her on the day, so her friends at the home joined her for a lovely lunch to celebrate.

Richard Cox House in Royston raised an incredible £100 for the Alzheimer’s Society #CupcakeDay. They also announced the winners of their Cupcake Competition judged by Royston's Town Mayor Councillor Robert Inwood, as Jack in first place and runner up Felicity who both received prizes.

Our homes had lots of lovely birthdays last week, including a very special 100th birthday for Eileen at Elmhurst in Bishop’s Stortford! Happy Birthday to Eileen, Thelma, Tess, Lilian, Michael and Brenda, we hope you all had a fabulous day! 

Residents at Vesta Lodge in St Albans decided they wanted to try their hand at salt dough modelling. They had a lot of fun and have made lots of models now drying out, ready for painting.  Very creative!
