Our day care centres have been designed to provide care during the day for older people who are still living in their own home or with family, perhaps with the support of either a professional carer or family and friends.

Q Club Day Care

This service is ideal if you are caring for a loved one but need to take some time off for yourself or just want to know that your loved one is being fully taken care of for the day.

We have centres right across Hertfordshire, each run by friendly, professional and well trained staff who are dedicated to providing the best possible care for those using the services we provide, including care for those living with dementia.

Each of our centres offers up to a full day’s care for as many days of the week as needed*, in a comfortable, friendly and stimulating environment. We make sure that there's a full activity programme available for our guests to take part in and a warm and inviting place to sit when it’s time to relax and, perhaps, chat with others. There’s always a friendly conversation to be had, an activity to take part in and a refreshment on the way.

Some of our centres also run the occasional day trip out if this is something that you might want to take advantage of, including trips to the local pub, visits to the seaside, garden centres and other interesting venues.

Most of our day care centres are attached to one of our care homes which means that many of the facilities available to our full time residents are also available to our day care guests - such as a visit to the hairdresser (booked directly with the centre). 

Our day care guests are provided with a full two course meal and are offered refreshments throughout the day, so you can rest assured that we have good nutrition fully covered. We can also cater for most kinds of diet, and provide meals specifically designed to work for you.

Longer Term Respite Care

If you’re looking for care that’s a little longer term, say for a week or more, we also offer a respite service which includes full accommodation and 24 hour care in one of our care homes. This service is ideal if you are caring for, or concerned for a loved one, but need to take a few days or weeks off, perhaps for a holiday, a rest or just peace of mind
