The de Havilland Aircraft Company Limited used to be an aviation manufacturer based in Hatfield, later known as British Aerospace.  Jack and Ken from Willow Court in Harpenden used to work together there, and have recently been reunited in the home thanks to Activity Worker Carol discovering

Our homes continue to try and help residents keep in touch with their loved ones when they can’t be together.  Willow Court in Harpenden have a busy Skype rotation to keep all the residents up to date with their families and friends. 

It is always great to see the homes helping out the community where they can.  Last week, Willow Court in Harpenden did their annual Harvest Festival parcel donation to the Salvation Army who run weekly food banks for local people need extra support.  Well done Willow Court!

Residents at Willow Court in Harpenden have been enjoying a bit of pampering this week.  Gina the Activity Care Worker has been giving them all a cut and blow-dry, followed by a cheeky pint!  Looking good, feeling great!

It’s #FruityFriday!  At Willow Court in Harpenden this week the residents had their hydration station fully stocked with seasonal fruits as well as tasty milkshakes with Oreos, honey, strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream!  Sounds delicious 

Today marks the final day of #NationalBakingWeek, which is nice as it is the Great British Bake Off tonight!  Willow Court in Harpenden were baking up a storm making walnut and banana cake, orange and lemon cake and cookies!  Yummy! 

More autumn related crafting for you this afternoon! As it is the traditional time for Harvest Festival, Willow Court in Harpenden made a food bank drop off box for any non-perishables the staff can spare.  Zoe from Bluebell Lounge helped to decorate the box accordingly, looks lovely
