Animal Therapy at Oakmoor Lodge
We regularly enjoy a visit from Shirley and her 4 legged therapy dog Button and Claire with her therapy dog Pixie. Animal therapy has been proven to be a big hit with our residents whose smiling faces attest to this. Research shows that stroking, playing with, feeding and looking after animals is good for the health and can reduce stress and blood pressure levels.
Other furry visitors include Performing Pets and it is always wonderful when they bring in one of their farm, or exotic animals and not forgetting our families who often pop in with their dogs to say hello.
