Community Challenge Update: Providence Court Residents Visit Baldock Fair
On Tuesday 3rd of October residents and staff from Providence Court, our care home in Baldock, visited the Baldock Charter Street Fair for a day of fun and amusements. The residents visited the fair as part of our month-long Community Challenge competition and were attempting to complete the Event Challenge. This challenge awards points for visiting an event within the community and gives extra points for receiving free access to things that would normally have to be paid for.
When the residents and staff informed members of the fair of the details of their challenge they were very kindly given access to all amusements and rides without charge as well as free food and refreshments for the whole of their visit.
The residents had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed the attractions, particularly hook-a-duck and the rifle range and were ever so grateful to the staff at the fair for making their day a particularly memorable one.
Blessing Gurure, the Home Manage at Providence Court said:
“The fairground staff were absolutely incredible. We’re so thankful to them for making it such a wonderful day out for our residents and for helping us to get the maximum points for this challenge! We’ve got a few more challenges to complete before the end of October and are looking forward to getting out there and completing them.”
Each of the attractions at the fair received a thank you certificate from the residents for helping them complete their challenge successfully.
If you have a loved one in one of our care homes you can follow their challenge progress by visiting their Facebook page. The home will also have a Challenge Progress Chart displayed somewhere prominently so please do keep an eye out for that. News will also be posted to our main company Facebook page at facebook.com/quantumcareltd so please do join us there!
