Construction begins on Riverside Lodge, Rickmansworth
On Tuesday 29th March Councillor Keith Martin, Chair of Three Rivers District Council, was joined by Maria Ball, Quantum Care’s Chief Executive and Nigel Berney, the Co-Founder of NL Property to perform a turf cutting ceremony for our new care home for older people in Rickmansworth.
The new home will be situated on Church Street and is being built on the old Bridge Motors site close to the Parish Church of St. Mary and the river Colne.
This sympathetically designed and modern care home will feature 76 en-suite bedrooms, a cinema, hair and beauty salon as well as a number of beautifully appointed dining rooms and lounges. The home will also feature its own café, conveniently situated on the ground floor close to the reception area.
Riverside Lodge will offer residential and dementia care as well as convalescence care for individuals who just need to get back on their feet again, perhaps after a stay in hospital. Short breaks within the home will also be offered so that those caring for an elderly relative, for example, can take time for themselves while the staff at Riverside Lodge provide the care for their loved one.
As well as providing care for older people, the home will also provide a number of rewarding job opportunities for those living locally.
Maria Ball, Chief Executive of Quantum Care said “Riverside Lodge will offer the highest standards of care accommodation and care quality; something that we are very proud of. As a not-for-profit Community Benefit Society, we always strive to work closely with our neighbours and a wide range of local groups and are very much looking forward to becoming a valued part of the Rickmansworth community”.
Riverside Lodge is due to be completed in July 2023.
