Dementia Talk for Relatives at Fosse House
A talk on dementia was well attended by relatives wanting to understand more about this condition. This was a useful opportunity to find out more about why dementia affects people as it does and to share ideas about how to cope. Many simple but effective strategies were discussed as people took the opportunity to talk about things they had found helpful, and about the pressures of caring for someone with dementia. A representative from Carers in Herts also attended to advertise their services. Carers in Herts is a charity that provides information & support to relatives and unpaid carers , and is open to anyone living or working in Hertfordshire and acting as an unpaid carer for someone else.
