Easter at Mountbatten Lodge
Easter was celebrated wonderfully at Mountbatten Lodge! The celebrations began on Good Friday where an Easter Egg hunt was held and warm hot cross buns were baked in the Café. On the 5th April, Easter Sunday, a Easter Bonnet tossing contest took place whereby the residents threw their bonnets and won prizes if they landed on the target of a doll's head. There was also a sing-a-long and a raffle draw. Maggie Padmore (carer) kindly donated some delightful rabbits for the raffle which accompanied lots of other donated raffle items, such as: Easter eggs, toiletry sets and bottles of alcohol. An amazing £113 was raised - well done all! The last celebratory day was Easter Monday, whereby a party was held in the café and Lee Rivers (singer/guitarist) entertained, singing songs from the 50s , 60s and 70s. The residents had a really pleasurable time! Here are some of the pictures!
