Elm View Care Home Open Day
On Thursday 14th September we held an open day at Elm View, our new luxury care home in Bishop’s Stortford, which is due to receive its first residents next week.
The response to the open day was excellent with a considerable number of tours operating throughout the day for local councillors and professionals including Councillor Richard Townsend, Mayor of Bishop’s Stortford. Also in attendance were several visitors from Hertfordshire County Council. After the tours had finished visitors were treated to a delicious buffet prepared by Matt, the home’s chef.
Elm View Care Home brings the very latest in modern care home living to Bishop’s Stortford. The home offers accommodation for 78 residents each within their own en-suite bedroom all of which are fully furnished with items from our carefully selected range. The interior spaces of the home take their inspiration from Bishop Stortford’s rich literary history and include the Reading Room Café, a space where residents, their friends and their families can get together and socialise in a café-style environment.
The home includes a number of well-appointed dining rooms and lounges as well as beautifully designed landscaped gardens which are overlooked by large balconies, perfect for socialising on in the warmer months. Within the home you will also find a hair and beauty salon, a spa and a cinema room.
The reaction to the home was extremely positive with the Mayor commenting that the home is “a flagship that others should aspire to. I am astounded at the provision and quality evident throughout and, most essentially, the family of care professionals at all levels. I foresee that this care home will bring immense benefit to our community.”
