A fabulous beach party at Beane River View

21/05/14 Wednesday - We will be having a ‘Cream Tea’ day. We will be offering scones with jam and clotted cream from the farm for £1 each, served with a cup of tea. All proceeds will be going to the Alzheimer’s Society. 23/05/14 Friday - Beane River View will host a Beach/Seaside party on a lovely sunny day to support the Dementia Awareness week. This is a unique opportunity to see our resident's paintings of various seaside themes such as fish and crabs and loads more! At noon, the traditional fish and chips will be served for Lunch by staff dressed up in beach themed costume to join in the fun and later on, everyone will sit down for a nice cup of coffee and cake with family and friends who are all giving their support to dementia week. In the afternoon on that day, we will be having (weather permitting) a paddling pool for residents to paddle their feet in and there will be beach sand and other items to add to the atmosphere. We will also be having a tombola stand and cake sale as well as a coffee morning for the Fundraising for Alzheimer’s Society on the Wednesday of dementia week. The Alzheimer’s Society wants to create a large network of ‘Dementia Friends’, who will have an understanding of dementia and some small things they could do to make a difference to people living with it. Quantum Care will be releasing balloons from all their care homes on that Friday, in aid of ‘Dementia Week’ and are also raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society. Please come along and support us, bring as many friends and family as you can. Coffee and cake will be served and donations will be very welcome.
