Forthcoming Dementia Awareness events lined up at Pinewood Lodge.

The staff and residents at Pinewood Lodge are running a number of special events during Dementia Awareness week. Sunday 18th May 2014 3pm - 4.30pm: a lovely Cheese and Wine afternoon will be on the way to start the celebration of Dementia Awareness week. Monday 19th May 2014 11am - 12.30pm: Come and join our lovely Coffee and cake morning as it is another pleasant way to spend quality time with our residents and nurture friendships along the way. Tuesday 20th May 2014 6pm - 8pm - Film Night will take place and will promised to be a pleasant evening for our residents, friends and relatives. Wednesday 21st May 2014 6.30pm - 7.30pm Dementia Talk gives tips and advice for communicating with someone with dementia and on how to encourage the person to communicate in whichever way works best for them. Please come along and support us, bring as many friends and family as you can. Coffee and cake will be served and donations will be very welcome. Thursday 22nd May 2014 ALL DAY - Ever dreamt of staying in your pyjamas all day long? On Thursday – all staff CAN! It is a fun way to highlight the Dementia awareness week and to give donations to Alzheimer’s society at the same time. Friday 23rd May 2014 11am - 1pm - Collage Competition gives artists from our homes a chance to showcase their work and have it be judged by our QC team. Saturday 24th May 2014 - the highly anticipated balloon launch will take place in finalizing dementia awareness week.
