Greenacres celebrates Dementia awareness week with special events.

On the 18th May, there will be a fancy dress dog walk. Even animals are joining us to celebrate Dementia Awareness week. We are all in this together! It is followed by a Fancy dress tea Party at the Greenacres Day Centre, starts at 2pm in Stanborough. Monday 19th May: Fruit Tasting Day at the races Greenacres Day Centre starts at 2pm and another at 10am. Tuesday 20th May: Greenacres presents Golden Games starts at 10am. Dementia Friends Talk will be conducted at Greenacres Day Centre at 6:30pm. Wednesday 21st May: Marks & Spencer’s Sale Greenacres at the reception at 11am. There will be a Tesco Information Stand. Thursday 22nd May: We invite relatives and friends to come and witness the serenity that Namaste produces for residents living with dementia. Namaste sessions will run all day. Enjoy a great evening at our Staff Quiz Night. Just tricky enough to challenge your general knowledge and keep you guessing. Win, lose or draw, it’s a definitely a fun way to spend an evening with our residents and staff. Held at Greenacres Day Centre at 6pm. Friday 23rd May: a sweet treat for everyone on our Ice Cream day at the Lake Stanborough at 10am and another starts at 2pm. Saturday 24th May: a bright Coffee Morning to enjoy with 50s/60s Themed at Greenacres Reception. Starts at 11am.
