Greenacres Resident Council
Another fantastic example of Rhythm of Life, this time from Greenacres with their Resident Council! Residents regularly meet to discuss life in the home, what’s going well and what improvements they can make. So far they have been involved in areas including how to fulfill life ambitions for residents, welcoming new residents into the home, visiting other homes to promote good dementia care and working with staff at head office to prepare the summer menu! The ethos of the council is that Greenacres is the residents’ home and they should always be involved in its day to day running. The council promotes all 5 branches of the Rhythm of Life: care, choice, engagement, relationships and individuality and is a wonderful way of making sure that residents’ interests always come first!
