Greenacres Residents Visited by Local Fire Station Team
The residents at Greenacres, our care home in Hatfield, were visited by a team from their local fire station recently as part of the Hertfordshire Fire and Rescue Service’s community safety initiative. The team turned up at the home in their fire engine and after introducing themselves, talked to residents about what to do in the event of a fire.
They also held a Questions and Answers session after which the residents were treated to a tour of the fire engine and a demonstration of the equipment that the team uses.
There was a certain level of excitement when the residents heard that they were to be visited by members of the Hatfield Fire Station with one resident, Irene, saying “I’m glad I’m having my hair done”.
The whole event was as enjoyable as it was interesting and we would all like to thank the fire service for the incredible job that they do.
