Jubilee Court Visit the Mayor's Chambers

Residents from Jubilee Court were invited to The Mayor’s Chambers in Stevenage. They were all treated to a selection of finger sandwiches and cake with a cup of tea, before a guided tour by the current Mayor, Councillor John Lloyd who was a very friendly and informative host. For one of the residents it brought back memories from when he used to carry the mace which he got to hold for old times’ sake. Another resident was deeply moved when he saw a picture of his old boss who was mayor at some time. Councillor Lloyd has been invited to several events at Jubilee Court since he opened the home in 2012 and thought it would be nice for the residents to be able to visit him for a change.
