Letters of thanks for The Mead
Dear Jeannie and all the Managers We just want to express our sincere thanks for all the care and attention you gave our mum P.L. during her seven year stay at ‘The Trevor Howard Unit’. The last few months of her life when she was receiving palliative care was especially difficult. Thank you for making sure that everything possible was done to make her as comfortable and pain free as could be. She was a beautiful person and a lovely mum. As she has been in our lives for 104 years it will be strange without her. We are comforted that her passing was peaceful and that now her struggle is over and she is at rest. Bless you all. Love P’s family Dear Ms Crockett, Re: M.C. I am writing to say a big thank you to you and your staff for making the transition into the Mead from her own home so much easier and pleasant – such a big step for her. Again our thanks to you all for the excellent care she has received from you all. Yours sincerely, S.D. and all M’s family Dear Staff at the Mead, I wish to thank all the staff at The Mead who cared for D. I know she enjoyed whatever outings she was able to do and to be at in house birthday parties from time to time. She also enjoyed having her hair done and her nails would have been the envy of many – so beautifully done. On the occasions I was able to visit, her room and bathroom were clean and she was always in clean and tidy clothes – so thanks to the housekeeping and laundry staff. Also thanks to those in the kitchen who fed her well and supplied the all important tea and biscuits. Thanks to you all especially to Viv for labelling the clothes that I didn’t, and to Zara for giving me an insight into Dorothy’s stay at The Mead and those well loved bingo sessions. To Jeannie, Caroline and all the Staff, We write to thank you all for all your kindness during the last 20 months of L’s life. You and your team always showed great affection and kindness towards mum and we always felt secure knowing mum was being so well cared for. We are sure mum could be difficult at times but she was always treated with care and kindness. M, B, R and family.
