A lovely letter for Pinewood Lodge:

Dear Sir/Madam, Sadly my mother passed away peacefully last Friday at Pinewood Lodge and, although I have written to Anita, her staff and especially those of Dove Unit - Lisa, Marie, Ronald and others too many to mention, we would like to ensure that you are made aware of our appreciation for the care my mother received during her stay. We will never forget those who cared for Mum with such kindness, courtesy, love and respect - it gave us peace of mind that she was happy, safe and secure. We were always made welcome at Pinewood whatever the time of day (or night) and enjoyed attending several activities there over the past three years. The palliative care mum received over these last few weeks was better than we could have wished for at this very sad time and it is a comfort to me, her only daughter, and all the family that she was able to be at Pinewood rather than hospital. She was treated with great dignity with familiar surroundings, faces and voices. We too were supported by the staff and nothing was too much trouble. May I also mention that Quantum's caring also extends to your Account's Dept where, over the years, I've dealt with Christine Clark. 'Thank you' seems inadequate but we just wanted you to know how pleased we are that we chose Pinewood Lodge as mum's home. With kind regards, Mrs P
