Mountbatten Lodge visit Southend!

"We took some of our residents on a trip to Southend. On the coach we entertained ourselves by singing along to some of the Bachelors' songs. It was a splendidly warm day with a nice sea breeze. Our residents enjoyed sitting by the sea, walking along the pier and eating fish and chips at a restaurant which is located by the sea front. We then took a stroll along the front and passed the funfair, finally stopping at an ice cream stall where they enjoyed whipped ice-creams in cones. We then embarked on our journey back home.
