Mountbatten Lodge's Dining Club!
Our Dining Club on 13th August went extremely well. 20 people attended which included residents and their families. Our café was set up to look like a posh restaurant . The tablecloths were a beautiful shade of blue with matching patterned blue and cream serviettes. The tables were laid with silver cutlery, glasses and candles and the lighting in the café was dimmed. Rebecca, who is 14 years old and the daughter of Relief Café Team Manager Angela, is an extremely talented violinist. She played some lovely background classical music such as the Four Seasons which she played amazingly well. A three course meal was served with a choice of crab cakes or mushroom pate, salmon risotto or chicken with new potatoes, banoffee pie or apple & blackberry crumble. It was cooked by the Chef of the head office and Mountbatten's Chef, Neil. Everyone that attended said the meal was very delicious and well presented. This was such a great evening where the residents were able to spend quality time with their friends and families and we would like to thank all the staff that helped to make the evening such a great success.
