On Friday 6th May we held our fifth annual internal care awards ceremony. All in all we hosted about 220 people on the night including finalists and their supporters, dignitaries and sponsors. The theme we ran with this year was based upon the idea of modern heroes, which is what each of our finalists are, and this dictated the music, the presentational style and the videos on the night. Those of you who were there will have, no doubt, communicated the “execution” of that theme to those that could not be there. There's nothing wrong with injecting a little bit of humour into such a glitzy affair.
Sam Cheekoory, Quantum Care's Director of Operations, hosted the evening along side other speakers including Maria Ball, Chief Executive and Debbie Gilard, Marketing Manager. Our sponsors and our dignitary, Sarah Pickup (Director of Health and Community Services for Hertfordshire County Council) presented awards and also delivered speeches to the audience. We were also immensely proud to have Ivan Loveday introduce the new Sue Loveday Lifetime Achievement Award in memory of a cherished member of staff who sadly lost her battle with cancer last year.
It was, all in, a fantastic gala night and we'd like to thank everyone who attended for making it the best ceremony to date. We organise it to thank some of the amazing members of staff that we have working for us, so to witness the amount of effort guests went to really makes us proud. The stretched Hummer Limousine that delivered an astonishing number of our care staff to the event didn't go unnoticed.
