Quantum Care's 30th Birthday Celebrations

This year is Quantum Care’s 30th Birthday and we’ve been celebrating in style right across all of our care homes with events that have been ongoing since the Queen’s Jubilee. As well as birthday celebrations we’ve also been running other projects to mark this very special occasion.

The first of these was a ‘Communitree’ project, which saw each of our homes receive an apple tree for planting within their landscaped gardens, with involvement from local community groups. These trees will stand as a reminder of our 30th milestone for decades to come and also contribute to the Queen’s Jubilee Green Canopy initiative.

We also ran two separate collaborative art projects, one visual and the other musical. The visual arts project saw residents and staff at each home decorate a hexagon canvas, each one wonderfully unique, hinting a little at the character or history of the home that created it. These were then assembled together to form a large wall mounted “30”. The musical project took the form of a music video, featuring residents and staff in each home singing “With a Little Help from my Friends”, all edited into a final compilation taking the viewer through what seems like a single rendition of the song.

We couldn’t let this 30th Birthday party go by without a company-wide cake making competition, which saw each of the homes design and create a birthday cake unique to them for the occasion and submit their wonderful creations for judging during the final birthday event.

The final company-wide birthday party was held on Friday 1st July with residents and staff at each of our care homes joining in via Zoom with Head Office for a joint event where Maria Ball, Quantum Care’s Chief Executive, thanked staff for their dedication and hard work. The event continued with a company-wide quiz as well as the premier of the music video that residents and staff at the homes had contributed towards.

It’s been an amazing birthday, celebrating 30 years of excellence, 30 years of serving our local communities, and 30 years of dedication, passion and commitment from our amazing care teams.
