Quantum Care’s Wellbeing and Mental Health Awareness Week
Each of our care homes held an event to promote how important good mental health is to the wellbeing of our care staff. These events ran from the 10th to the 14th May during which every home set up a stall making available information and guidance from Mind, the mental health charity, on how best to achieve and maintain a positive state of mental health. Each member of staff was also provided with a badge that read “It’s ok not to be ok” to encourage positive conversation about mental health.
Feedback from the event was extremely positive right across all of our care homes with a great many staff members commenting on the wonderful support they received from Home Managers and Deputy Managers.
Each home also held a raffle, the prizes for which were donated by a number of organisations and individuals for which we are very grateful.
Top prize winners were:
1st prize Caroline Perkis (The Mead care home) HKM weekend away at Fuzzy Duck cottage, Heacham, Norfolk
2nd prize joint £30 vouchers for McMullen brewing and pubs meal vouchers Amanda Mottram (Mayfair Lodge care home) & Karen Silenti (Beane River View care home)
3rd prize £25 vouchers for boots – Beverly Thompson (Trefoil House care home) and Nancy Meadwell (Belmont View care home)
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank all of our wonderful sponsors who were:
