Recent events at Tye Green Lodge

Annual Halloween Party We had a fantastic Halloween party this year. They say Elvis is dead, but I don’t think so!  He was at Tye Green Lodge!  It was uncanny he was so like the real thing.  The residents loved him and so did some members of staff! Everyone was singing along and clapping their hands. We finished the evening with our usual fish and chip supper. So we didn’t disappoint the residents on such an important day and we decided to hold our own “Celebration of Remembrance”. It was an amazing morning. We invited Johnny Lawrence to come down and sing all the old war songs with us after we held the two minute silence. Three residents and two members of staff then read out Remembrance Poems from Flanders Field and then a Peace Poem was read out by Michelle at the end. It was a very emotional but also a very happy time. One visiting family said how much they enjoyed it and asked if we could do it again next year.
