Richard Cox House - what have they done this week?

"So far this week for dementia awareness we have had world baking day on Monday where we made lemon drizzle cake, chocolate fudge cake and vanilla cupcakes which the residents themselves cooked and decorated. On Tuesday we had Royston museum come in with reminiscence items and memorabilia, some which were from the history of Royston and the local area. The residents talked about the usage of the items and the stories they remember. Today we had glazed creations, a local business come in to visit us. Pip from glazed creations brought some ceramic tiles for the residents to paint. The residents got very creative and artistic with their tiles. Pip has taken them back to the shop to be put into the kiln and glazed, and she will then bring them back for the residents to keep. We plan on having Pip back so more residents can have a go then hopefully we can put all the tiles on show in a mural for everyone to see." The week has been very fun for all of the residents! Here are two of the pictures for you all to see.
