Rounding up Nutrition and Hydration Week

We have had a wonderful week full of events at Quantum Care in support of National Nutrition and Hydration week. We have had a sausage tasting competition, a company tea dance, a cake competition, a smoothie and cocktail competition and many other events happening in our homes. The week ended with the judging of the cake, smoothie and cocktail competitions at Mountbatten Lodge in Hemel Hempstead. We are delighted to announce that the award for best cake in Quantum Care went to Courtland Lodge in Watford!! Courtland Lodge sent in a fantastic cake in the shape of a juke box. The runners up were Beane River View, Meresworth and The Mead. Congratulations go to all homes who took part in the competition and for a wonderful array of cakes. A big thank you also to our judges Ron and Pam Crawley from suppliers Walter Clarke. Following on from the cake competition, we had the judging of the cocktail and smoothie competition! Judged by Jonathan Fairy, Dysphasia Account Manager from Nestlé Health Science, the winner in the Alcoholic section was Mountbatten Lodge with their Mountbatten Sunrise. Winner in the non-alcoholic section was Minsden with their aptly named Blue Lagoon. A huge thanks goes to all who have taken part in the events this week in support of National Nutrition and Hydration Week.
