Strictly Stars Visit The Mead
The Mead Care Home in Borehamwood was filled with joy and dancing this week as it welcomed Strictly Come Dancing stars Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell for a memorable visit.
Bobby graciously accepted an invitation from Cavita, whose relative Alan is a resident at The Mead, and brought along his dancing partner Dianne Buswell. The visit marked the first in-person meeting between Bobby and Dianne since the finale of Strictly Come Dancing and was an unforgettable experience.
The stars treated residents to a spectacular performance of some of their favourite dance routines, receiving enthusiastic scores out of 10 from the residents themselves. Following the performance, Bobby and Dianne engaged in a lively Q&A session, sharing stories and laughter with residents, families, and staff members.
During their tour of the home, Bobby and Dianne had the opportunity to meet and chat with residents, including 103-year-old Tony, an avid fan of Strictly Come Dancing, who was thrilled to meet the stars in person. Additionally, the pair spent time with resident artist Adrian, admiring his artwork and sharing their appreciation for his talent.
The Mead Home Manager Alison King expressed her gratitude for the visit saying, "It was truly heart-warming to see the smiles on everyone's faces today. Bobby and Dianne were absolutely wonderful and we want to thank them for spreading so much joy and warmth during their visit. They’ve truly made memories that will be cherished by our residents, staff and families for years to come. It’s moments like these remind us of the magic that happens when communities come together."
