Summer Fete and Beach Party at The Mead

Nothing says it’s summer like a Beach party and residents and staff of The Mead in Borehamwood hosted their very own Summer beach party and Barbeque on Saturday 12th August.

Despite the changeable weather, it was a fantastic occasion bringing together residents, families, friends, staff and the local community for a day filled with entertainment, games, delicious treats and lots of prizes to be won in the grand raffle, which had been kindly donated by friends, families and several businesses in the local community.

The beautiful gardens at the home were the perfect backdrop for lots of photographs of memories being made, with fun being had by all generations.

The smell of the delicious food being cooked on the barbeque lingered in the air as children ran around with ice lollies and residents tapped their feet and danced with their families and friends to live music, performed by a local entertainer.

Events coordinator, Chelsea said "every year the residents look forward to this event, they dress up in their summer best and enjoy cocktails with their families and friends, food from the BBQ and a good old sing along. It was a brilliant event and we want to give a huge shout out to the amazing Borehamwood Community for all their help and support in making it happen".
