Dear Sir, My mother had been a resident for six years at Margaret House, Abbots Langley ... I am writing to say how pleased my wife and I were with the care she received whilst residing there. Whilst in their care Pat and her marvellous team showed my mother respect and affection on a daily basis. This allowed her to feel settled and content with her surroundings which is extremely important to people suffering from dementia. My mother was a cheerful person and although her mental health deteriorated over the years her cheerful demeanour did not. This was because of the time and care the staff showed her and the satisfaction she had with her home. This respect and support also extended to members of the family both when visiting and when being informed of any incidents., Doctor's visits etc. The flexibility of the visiting times enabled us to see her more frequently than if the times were restrictive. We were always made to feel welcome and offered assistance if it was required. We were never made to feel that we were in the way....
