Dear Jackie, I am writing to thank you and Mayfair Lodge for everything that you did to make my mother's final years a pleasant experience for her. She was with you for seven years which I gather is one of the longer periods for a person to be a resident but she was very content at Mayfair Lodge and it was reassuring for me to know that she was in such a caring environment. This was most apparent when she stated recently that she would prefer to stay at Mayfair Lodge rather than be returned to Hospital should there be a choice. I had a good feeling about Mayfair Lodge from my first visit, my mother seemed to feel the same and immediately made friends with a lady called Vera who was on the same corridor. She was also very lucky to have Mandy as her Care Team Manager for all but the last month or so and her role in making my mother's stay so happy can never be understated. Mandy had an exceptional rapport with an elderly and increasingly frail woman who, until the last 6 months or so, was reasonably on the ball ... It was also a comfort as the situation became increasingly difficult that Pansie was carrying on where Mandy left off.
