The staff at Mayfair Lodge could not have done more to help my mother during her short stay. They were always attentive and kind. To arrive one hot summer’s morning and find they had put a fan in her room because she had been so hot was just wonderful – the kind of thing that families do for each other. Their kindness extended to myself and my brother and that made all the difference at a very difficult time. One night when I was just overwhelmed by having to make more decisions for mum, the night manager told me to go home and leave it to him and I knew he would do the best thing for her.
