IN memory of Mr. T.E.L.

We would like to thank you all for the wonderful care you gave, not just to Dad, but to us all. We were, and still are, comforted by the knowledge that dad was safe, his needs were well attended to and that he was treated with great dignity. We know you looked after him so well and appreciated him as the wonderful man he was. When dad was being difficult, you all handled him so well and respected his wishes. You all also looked after us so well. Those endless cups of tea and biscuits were so appreciated. Thank you all. We were also comforted by the fact that we knew you would immediately inform us when there were any health issues etc. Thank you all so much. All the little things you all did made such a difference. They are too many to list or to remember, but it showed how you all go that extra mile to make your residents feel special. I remember Scholar asking dad to help her push the lunch trolley down the corridor as a way to get him to the dining room. She recognised the characteristics in Dad whereby he needed to feel useful and helpful. Thank you. I remember Sally always being there for us all and also spending time sitting with dad in his last days and making sure he was always comfortable. so wonderfully caring. Thank you . I remember Elvis being with dad when he had 'the last rites' and being so caring. I remember the hairdresser, the chiropodist, the cleaners and many others just calling in on dad to see how he was doing. I remember walking dad around the home and every member of staff we met stopped to say hello and take an interest. I remember all the office staff knowing all about dad and would chat about how he was whenever I visited and whenever I phoned to see how he was. Zoe  and James are just so special in their true caring of us all. Many more staff also.... too many to mention here but not forgotten. Thank you all. We are aware that there are many staff whom we did not meet but also will have contributed to dads' welfare, not least the night staff. Thank you ll. We would like to show our appreciation by giving you a cheque for £350, to be split in the following way: £200 for the benefit of the staff (perhaps towards a good night out?) and £150 for a specific item for the residents benefits (for Fosse House to decide - perhaps for Swallow??)
