Victoria Collins MP Visits Willow Court

On Friday 24th January Victoria Collins, Liberal Democrat MP for Harpenden and Berkhamsted visited Willow Court, our care home in Harpenden to speak with residents and staff and to take a tour of the home.
It was a busy afternoon for visitors as a number of other dignitaries were also present. Deacon Sarah Wickett and Karen Noble from Harpenden Methodist church were there to discuss their Dementia Friendly Worship initiative that they have been running regularly in the home as well as in church.
Beth Clayton from Dementia UK was at Willow Court at the same time meeting with Clare Childs, a regular musical performer at the home and an advocate of the benefits of music for those living with dementia.
Everyone present joined in with residents to sing along as Sarah played piano and performed a number of songs.
Victoria Collins then met with Maria Ball, CEO of Quantum Care and home manager Coni Anang to tour the home.
Maria Ball said “We were delighted to have Victoria join us at Willow Court. As a non-profit Community Benefit Society we welcomed the opportunity to discuss the social care landscape. Engaging with our MP in this way helps to shape the future of care provision in the UK”.
