Willow Court defy the odds to hold fantastic garden party

Willow Court held their garden party on Saturday, despite the weather being against them. They had planned to hold their Oscar-themed garden party on Saturday 25th July and all was going to plan until a month's worth of rain fell on Friday. Despite the deluge, Sarah and her team valiantly put up the marquees in readiness for the party on Saturday. They worked extremely hard all day and were absolutely soaked to the skin. When everybody arrived early on Saturday morning to decorate the marquees, the rain had finally stopped, but during the night, the entire marquee set up had been completely flattened, leaving broken poles and ripped canvas. After a very brief conversation, in true Oscar style they decided the show must go on. They delayed the party by two hours and then set about repairing the marquees, putting them up again and decorating the whole area. By the skin of their teeth, they were finally ready and I am sure you will agree that it looked absolutely beautiful. The whole garden was decorated in an Oscar theme, accompanied by music from the movies and a fantastic American themed buffet. The Piece de resistance was an Oscar cake made by Chef Manager Paul. All the guests had a wonderful time, and big thanks go to Sarah and her team for putting on such a wonderful event.
