Last week was #CarersWeek, so Pinewood Lodge in South Oxhey took the opportunity to treat their own hard-working care staff in the home with some delicious donuts!

Lovely story from The Mead in Borehamwood this week: One of the residents, Ellen, realised she was very lucky as she has a large family that is getting to visit her and taking her out for jaunts. Seeing that some of the residents were not so fortunate, she decided to throw them a tea party.

The Queen's official birthday has been marked by the Trooping the Colour for over 260 years. This year the celebrations takes place at Windsor Castle where the Queen is expected to take the Royal salute. Happy birthday your Royal Highness.

The newest addition to the Quantum care group of care homes is coming along nicely.

We continue to make good use of the great training that Vegetarian for Life offer to care providers to ensure that our catering teams have the knowledge, skills and confidence to provide a balanced diet for both vegetarians and vegans.

Beane River View in Hertford have received a lovely donation of some handmade blankets from Viv and Cheryl – the residents snuggling under them! Thank you for your kindness

At Richard Cox House in Royston, one of the staff members is also a veterinary nurse, and she brought in some baby bluebirds for the residents to see. She showed them how to feed them, what a wonderful experience!

The Mead in Borehamwood have been having some lovely walks around their garden, taking in nature and soaking up some vitamin D from the much welcome sunshine! New resident Doreen loves to take out a puzzle book or just have chat!

Making the most of the good weather, the residents at Greenacres in Hatfield took to the great outdoors to get inspiration for their paintings. Using cotton buds as brushes, they painted the trees in the garden. Fabulous artwork!
