Anson Court in Welwyn Garden City got a heart-warming donation from Michelle and her children of a hamper of tea for the residents – “Tea around the Tree at Three”

The de Havilland Aircraft Company Limited used to be an aviation manufacturer based in Hatfield, later known as British Aerospace.  Jack and Ken from Willow Court in Harpenden used to work together there, and have recently been reunited in the home thanks to Activity Worker Carol discovering

At Pinewood Lodge in Watford they have been having their Lounge Christmas parties with plenty of games and lots of festive cheer; a lot of fun was had by all!

Our residents have been missing having hairdressers come in, so the staff at Elmhurst in Bishop’s Stortford gave them a bit of a pampering with a bit of time in the salon.  Looking and feeling great after a wash and blow dry! 

One of the best Christmas scents is the aroma of freshly baked gingerbread… Residents at Fosse House in St Albans enjoyed a gingerbread making session, having fun with the cutters along the way, as well as mixing and rolling the dough and then cutting out their shapes.  

Last Friday was Elf Day where you dress up like an elf to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.  Our homes love any excuse to dress up, Meresworth, Dukeminster Court, Elizabeth House and Jubilee Court all took part!  Well done elves! 

The Mead in Borehamwood would like to take this opportunity to thank the guys from Indoor Garden Designs and Kate Lyes (granddaughter of one of our residents) for donating and putting together this beautiful tree, this will make the residents year a little brighter

Breakfast Club at Tye Green Lodge in Harlow has a new addition to the menu… waffles!  They look delicious!
