Fosse House news

Saturday 19th August saw residents, staff and families at Fosse House celebrating their annual summer garden party in traditional English country style! The entertainment kicked off with the St. Albans Morris men flourishing staves and scarves with a fantastic performance for the guests.

On Thursday 3rd August Fosse House welcomed a force of workers from local DIY store and garden centre Bunnings and together with carers, residents and families they spent the day sprucing up the garden!

These welcome baskets have been set up by Fosse House Housekeeping Manager Iliana for new residents when they first come into the home, a lovely touch to help people settle in!

Fosse House units Flamingo and Blackbird had a fantastic ‘Food from Around the World’ fundraising day! They included a jumble sale, cake and drink stall, a raffle and a guess the number of sweets in the jar competition.

We were joined at Silver Court yesterday by members of the team from Pinewood Lodge, Greenacres, Fosse House and Providence Court as they collected the virtual reality sets!

On 8th July Fosse House hosted a culture day fundraising event on Dove unit. Carer Ella had a sponsored silence, raising over £200 through it, and other carers cooked foods from around the world and raised another £150 selling it along with cakes and cold drinks!

A massive well done to the staff from Fosse House who were out in the sweltering heat on Sunday for their Sausage Sizzle at Bunnings! The first members of team arrived at 8:30 in the morning to set up with more staff came along to relieve those on the morning shift.

Last weekend, Fosse House Care Team Managers Jojo and Inara organised a pitch at the Stanborough Lakes car boot to raise money for their residents.

Fosse House residents enjoyed a brilliant canal boat trip! They loved relaxing with a cup of tea on the water, so much so that another four trips have already been booked!
