On Friday 17th June our homes welcome visitors for National Care Home Open Day, giving members of the community, prospective residents and their families the opportunity to get to know more about our care homes and meet people living and working in them.

As part of Dementia Awareness Week, Greenacres held a bake sale to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society. A lovely gesture and fantastic way of contributing to such a brilliant cause!

As if cuddles with the chicks weren’t enough, Greenacres residents have also been introduced to one their housekeeper’s pet pygmy hedgehog! Everyone was happy to meet the hedgehog and, hopefully, it’ll be brought in for another visit!

The latest dining experience at Greenacres was a huge success! Residents and their families all had a fantastic time with a great atmosphere and amazing food!

The chicks at Greenacres have been saying their hellos at the residents. The latest additions to the home are already incredibly popular with everyone being only too happy to have a cuddle with them!

Residents at Greenacres enjoyed a fun-filled Easter weekend, starting with a cake decorating competition on Good Friday. All units in the home joined in, with the eventual winner being Buttercup with their fantastic entry!

Greenacres have hatched their own chicks in time for Easter! The residents love the adorable new additions to the home while the chicks are making themselves at home!

A huge thank you to Lawson’s Timber Building and Fencing Supplies in Colney Heath for their incredible donation of 27 railway sleepers to Greenacres to build 3 large raised flower beds in the garden!

Here are a few pictures from Greenacres monthly birthday celebrations from February! Jan, a Q Club Worker at Greenacres, celebrated her own birthday this month and everyone was happy to sing her happy birthday along with everyone else.
