The Mead news

Members of the Q Club Day Centre at The Mead had a lovely day out at the park in the sun! They were very happy to stock up on food for the ducks from the local café (as well as enjoying a cuppa and a cake!) before feeding the ducks and ducklings at the brook!

Ros, the daughter of one of The Mead’s residents, loves to be involved with the home and is a regular volunteer there. Her speciality is arts and crafts and is often found supporting the residents in making lovely new things for her craft stall, an activity they all enjoy taking part in!

Wishing a happy 70th birthday to Richard, from everyone at The Mead! Richard is the husband of one of their residents and is a very active friend of the home, taking part in all of their events and offering unstinting support.

Residents at The Mead enjoyed a fun-filled games morning last week! The favourites were definitely pool and bowling, with those who had gotten a bit rusty quickly picking up their skills again once they got started.

The Mead had some fantastic Easter celebrations this year, including a special Easter themed game of Bingo and some song and seated exercise from Olivia! The residents joined in with some very keen singers in the group and rounded the day off with a few chocolate treats.

Residents at the Mead had the pleasure of this young lady’s company during half term; she was kind enough to help out with their card making session.
