The Mead Care Home in Borehamwood was filled with joy and dancing this week as it welcomed Strictly Come Dancing stars Bobby Brazier and Dianne Buswell for a memorable visit.

Nothing says it’s summer like a Beach party and residents and staff of The Mead in Borehamwood hosted their very own Summer beach party and Barbeque on Saturday 12th August.

At The Mead in Borehamwood on Christmas Day, as well as from their families, residents had gifts from the home, chosen especially by their key workers, as well as really kind gifts from Parkside Community Primary School

The Mead in Borehamwood received some lovely “Cards of Care” from Habs Boys and Girls Senior Schools – the residents loved receiving them and enjoyed reading out the sweet messages inside the handmade cards. #CardsOfCare

The Mead in Borehamwood were delighted to receive generous donations from Parkside Community Primary School for Harvest Festival – the residents really loved their toiletry gifts. We would like to extend our thanks to all that donated, so kind of you!

It was party time at The Mead in Borehamwood as they had a Halloween Party! With musical entertainment from Dave Brierley, they had drinks and Halloween snacks. Dave made it a bit of a quiz and Mary, Joseph and Marianne enjoyed guessing the artists he was singing.

The weather has been so nice recently, it has been lovely to get outdoors in the autumn sunshine. Stella and Rosemary from The Mead in Borehamwood have been exploring the local area, chatting to whomever they meet and enjoying nature

At their #MacmillanCoffeeMorning last week, The Mead in Borehamwood raised £30.73 from the kind donations from staff and visitors to the home on that day. The residents also enjoyed the lovely cakes with a cuppa!
